If you enjoy a good bourbon, a great cigar, or simply a relaxing evening on the patio with good company, this night is for you!

Join us for an evening featuring 12 different bourbons from three vendors, with Bourbon & Cigar Experts on site throughout the evening to answer questions, offer recommendations and help you discover something new.

And you definitely do NOT need to be a bourbon expert—or an Elks member—to join us! Whether you already know exactly what you like or couldn’t tell a wheated bourbon from a high-rye bourbon, you’re welcome. This is your chance to taste, compare, ask questions and maybe find a new favorite.

🥃 WHAT WILL WE BE POURING?

Our bourbon lineup will feature selections from Quality Brands, Johnson Brothers and Southern Glazer’s.

Quality Brands will be pouring four Penelope Bourbons:

Penelope Four Grain — A smooth four-grain straight bourbon blended from three bourbon mash bills, with notes of caramel, light oak, syrup and vanilla.

Penelope Wheated — A 95-proof wheated bourbon with notes of light oak, sweet corn and apple, followed by vanilla, honey and caramel apple.

Penelope Architect — A 104-proof straight bourbon finished with French oak staves, with creamy sweetness, floral notes and a rich vanilla finish.

Penelope Toasted Series — A 100-proof straight bourbon finished in a new hand-toasted barrel, with brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, graham cracker and roasted marshmallow notes.

More bourbon selections from Johnson Brothers and Southern Glazer’s will be announced soon!

🚬 AND FOR THE CIGAR LOVERS…

Big Stick Cigar Lounge will be joining us with a variety of premium cigars available for purchase at their cigar table.

And there will be options for different tastes! They’ll be offering both infused (sweeter) cigars and traditional non-sweet cigars, so whether you’re an experienced cigar smoker or interested in trying something different, you’ll have choices.

Not a cigar smoker? No problem! Cigars are completely optional—you can absolutely come just for the bourbon, music and experience.

Only 75 tickets are available! Open to the public. 

Tickets are $60 per person and can be purchased at the Bismarck-Mandan Elks Lodge:

Stop into the Front Office during regular office hours.

Stop by the Gaming Table in the TR Bar or ask any staff member to purchase your ticket.

This isn’t a formal bourbon class, and you don’t need to know all the right tasting terminology. Grab a friend, come ready to sample some great bourbon, learn a little if you’d like, enjoy the music and spend a September evening on the patio with us.
