Bismarck Mandan Lodge 1199 has a rich history since 1910. We are very proud of our accomplishments and boast that we are one of the largest Elks Lodges in the Nation with nearly 4,500 dedicated members. Many of our members are 3rd and 4th generation, its about tradition! Being the largest lodge doesn’t come easy, we are always in search of new members who hold the same beliefs – Charity – Justice – Brotherly Love.
Our facility has a number of food options from fine dining in our lower level to a sports menu in our TR bar. If grabbing a drink is all you are looking for check out the 1199 or TR bars. In the summer join us on the patio for music and great food. We have a lot of activities from all members’ from bands, bingo, pull tabs and targeted events to keep each member active. Let us be your place of choice!
“I joined the Elks because it is something that my fiancé and I have always wanted to do. To have access to the building, food and entertainment was the main factor in joining.” – Scott R
“Our parents were Elks members and my wife gave me a membership for my birthday. My dad sponsored me.” – Jed G
“Join! It’s definitely worth it – but like most things – you only get out of it what you put in.” – Jill S

Once the application is filled out please give or mail it to the Lodge Secretary along with a small percentage ($25.00) of the annual fee. The process includes an investigative committee and once approved by a membership vote the next step is to undergo the ritual of initiation. Candidates must pledge to our oath which includes a belief in God. The ritual can be quite an impressive ceremony which hopefully will imbue the new members with the true meaning of our organization. Annual dues are $84.00.
Each year 1199 holds several fund raising events and uses a portion of your dues to support these events. Last year the Bismarck – Mandan Elks Lodge gave $60,870.00 to local Charities, $4000.00 to our Scholarship program, $19,861 to Camp Grassick. A $16.00 per member ($70,768.00) assessment from the Grand Lodge goes to help the National Grand Lodge programs such as Scholarships, Veterans programs and many other groups in need in our country. Your lodge made large contributions to Heart View Foundation, Pride Inc.’s new home on North 19th street in Bismarck and Bismarck Recreation Council for the new children’s Baseball diamonds. This is something every Elk can be very proud of. So if someone asks you what do I get for my dues, remind them it’s what you give for your dues that counts. So a big THANK YOU to every Elk member for being a part of your community and helping those in need. Stop by the club we do have the best Happy hour and daily specials to enjoy and help us continue to support our community and those in need. Below are some additional things your dues help support.
